Claude Opus 4.7 is Anthropic’s Opus-family model for long-running, asynchronous agents, with stronger coding and agentic performance than Opus 4.6.
Anthropic announced Claude Opus 4.7 on April 16, 2026 and says it is generally available across Claude products, the Anthropic API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Microsoft Foundry. The official API model ID is claude-opus-4-7. Supplied Anthropic and OpenRouter metadata describe it as the next generation of Anthropic’s Opus family, built for long-running, asynchronous agents and stronger coding and agentic work. Anthropic API docs also list support details including a 1M token context window, 128k max output, adaptive thinking, prompt caching, batch processing, Files API, PDF support, vision, and tools.
