What it does
AnkiDecks is a web service for making study decks from your own material. You upload a file such as a PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel or EPUB document, paste notes, give a YouTube link, or type a topic, and its AI extracts the key concepts into cards. Card types are question-answer, cloze, multiple choice and image occlusion, and cards can be generated in more than 50 languages. You can study a deck in the browser with the built-in FSRS spaced-repetition mode, without installing Anki, or export it as an .apkg file for Anki on desktop, Android or iOS. Decks can be shared by link and set to public, private or link-only, and the site hosts a library of shared decks made by other students. The same inputs can also produce quizzes and notes. The site says uploaded files are processed securely, are not shared with other users and are not used to train AI models. It is a Progressive Web App that can be added to a phone's home screen rather than installed from an app store, and it states that it is independent of Anki Software LLC.
