What it does

ARTEMIS turns plain-language instructions into actions on an Android phone or emulator. It can carry out tasks across several apps, locates screen elements by index with coordinate and visual fallbacks for custom interfaces, and captures logs and screenshots for diagnosis. It has two execution profiles. Flash is a fast reactive loop that observes the screen and acts, at roughly three to five seconds per step. Pro adds a planner, checks each action before it runs and verifies progress against the goal, aimed at long exploratory and stability tests at roughly fifteen to forty seconds per step. You can drive it from a web console with live screen mirroring and execution replays, from a command line, from a Python SDK for test frameworks such as pytest and CI pipelines, or through an MCP server so assistants like Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity and Windsurf can control a connected device. A start script installs ADB and related tools, and the first task on a device installs a small accessibility helper app on the phone.

Capabilities

  • Natural-language tasks that run across multiple Android apps
  • Flash (fast reactive) and Pro (planning and verification) execution profiles
  • Web console with live screen mirroring and execution replays
  • MCP server for Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity and Windsurf
  • Python SDK and command-line interface for tests and CI
  • Collects Logcat output and screenshots for diagnosis

When to use it

  • Automating or testing Android app workflows from plain-language descriptions
  • Letting an AI coding assistant install a build on a real device and check the result
  • Adding device-driven checks to a pytest or CI pipeline
