What it does
BBARIT Terminal, formerly Octo Terminal, is a desktop app that combines a terminal, editors and AI coding agents. It keeps many projects open in one window, each with its own terminals, agents and settings, and can work with projects over SSH. It includes its own coding agent, BBARIT Agent, which the README says edits code, runs your tests or build and will not call a task done until they pass, with a snapshot for rollback on every change. It supports many model providers, can log in with a ChatGPT or Claude subscription, and can use local Ollama models. It can also run other agent CLIs such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Kimi and Qwen side by side, and pair a developer agent with a reviewer agent, where each pair works on its own isolated git branch and worktree and merging waits for your approval. The app also bundles file viewers and editors, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, a git panel, code search, notes, a task board, MCP connections and a built-in browser that agents can control. A web terminal and Telegram, Discord or Slack links allow remote access. It is built with Tauri and Rust and runs on Apple Silicon Macs and 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.
