What it does

OpenBitFun, listed here as BitFun, pairs an agent runtime written in Rust with a desktop application. It is described as a customizable agent workspace that handles software development and also work beyond it. The agent can run in four modes, from direct back-and-forth collaboration to a mode that divides complex tasks among several agents, and a mode for building Mini Apps. You can start a task on the desktop and follow it from a phone or browser, and use SSH to work on remote hosts or inside containers. It can be extended by connecting tools through MCP, turning repeatable processes into Skills, and customizing runs with Hooks. Mini Apps let you describe a small tool and have the agent build it. You bring your own model: install the app, configure a model and open a workspace. Packages are offered for Windows, macOS and Linux, and a command-line version shares the same execution capabilities. The core code is MIT licensed.
