What it does

bolt.diy lets you prompt, run, edit and deploy full-stack web applications using a model of your choice, selectable for every prompt. It supports more than 22 providers, including cloud services such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, xAI and DeepSeek and local ones such as Ollama and LM Studio. OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI and Google are enabled by default, and other providers are configured in Settings. Development happens inside the browser through WebContainers. The workbench combines a code editor, terminal, visual diff viewer and live preview. Project features include Git cloning and pushing, snapshot restoration, file conflict locking and ZIP export, with one-click deployment to Netlify, Vercel and GitHub Pages, a Supabase integration and Model Context Protocol tooling. You can run it from source with Node.js and pnpm, through Docker, or as a desktop app with prebuilt binaries for Windows, macOS and Linux. API keys are entered in the Settings UI or set as environment variables. The project is MIT licensed, but the WebContainers API it uses has separate commercial licensing terms for enterprise deployment. The README says ongoing work is bug fixes and dependency updates, with no new features planned.
