What it does

Boppy generates songs from a plain-language description. You say what you want, in terms of mood, genre or topic, and an AI language model writes the lyrics and a music description. The audio is then produced by ACE-Step 1.5 XL Turbo, an open-weight music model served through deAPI.ai. You can review and edit the lyrics before generating. On the web, tracks run up to two minutes and need no account or card. The iOS and Android apps allow tracks up to three minutes. Every track gets a shareable link that anyone can open without an account. The site also offers pages tuned to particular styles and occasions, such as lo-fi, rap, lullabies and birthday songs. Boppy is not open source: it is a hosted product, built on an open-weight model. The site says what you create is yours to use, while you remain responsible for not infringing on anyone else's work in your lyrics and prompts.
