What it does
Jetwriter AI, formerly ChatGPT Writer, is an AI writing assistant that runs as a browser extension and as a web app. It helps write emails and messages, chat with the current page, fix grammar, improve writing and translate. It works on any site, with deeper integration for Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Web, Slack, Zoho, Freshdesk and Zendesk. In Gmail it can learn from your past emails and drafts to match your style, and it can draft a reply automatically whenever an email needs one; that behaviour can be adjusted in settings. Selected text can be transformed with actions such as fix grammar, translate, summarize, explain and improve writing, and you can add your own actions. Other features listed include memory from past conversations, custom writing styles, switching between AI models mid-chat, live web access, chatting with files, voice input, response-length control and saved prompt templates. The site names the ChatGPT GPT-6 series, Claude Opus and Sonnet, and Gemini Pro as the models behind it, and says data is encrypted in transit, not shared with third parties and not used for AI training. The extension is offered for Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi, with Safari and Firefox marked as coming soon. A web app covers mobile and unsupported browsers.
