What it does
ChatWithCloud is a CLI you start with npx chatwithcloud. You type questions about your AWS account in everyday language. An AI model drafts the AWS SDK code that answers each one, the code executes on your own machine using your existing ~/.aws profile, and the tool explains what came back. The site groups its use cases into cost analysis (spend by service, idle instances and unattached volumes), security analysis (publicly accessible S3 buckets, IAM users that hold admin rights without MFA), troubleshooting (Lambda errors, CloudWatch alarms) and fixing things, where it can change resources for you. Credentials stay on your machine, but your questions and the filtered results of each AWS call are sent to the AI model, which is OpenAI or ChatWithCloud's managed service. The site warns that generated code runs without a confirmation step and recommends starting with a read-only IAM role. It also states it is not affiliated with Amazon Web Services.
