What it does
Cherry Studio is a desktop application for chatting with models from many providers in one place. It works with major cloud services such as OpenAI, Gemini and Anthropic, with web AI services including Claude, Perplexity and Poe, and with local models through Ollama and LM Studio. It ships with more than 300 pre-configured assistants and lets you create your own, and you can hold conversations with several models at once. It can work with text, images, Office files and PDFs, and includes Mermaid chart rendering, code highlighting, Markdown rendering, AI-powered translation, global search, topic management and MCP server support. It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux without environment setup, supports WebDAV file backup, and has light and dark themes. A separate Cherry Studio Mobile app is available for iOS and Android. The Community Edition is open source under AGPL-3.0, and commercial use is allowed within the terms of that licence; a commercial licence without the AGPL requirements can be requested. A privately deployable Enterprise Edition adds centralised model management, shared knowledge bases, role-based access control and an admin backend, and is sold as a buyout or subscription.
