What it does

Claude Pet is a small robot mascot that floats in the bottom-right corner of your screen and reacts to what Claude Code is doing in real time. You can tell whether Claude is thinking, reading files, editing code, running a command, waiting for you, finished or failed even when the terminal is out of sight. Sound cues mark completion, attention requests and failures. Version 0.5.0 also includes a memory feature that keeps a local graph per project in SQLite and injects a short ranked context block at session start. Patterns that repeat can be promoted into skill files that Claude Code picks up from its skills folder. The README says everything stays local, with no cloud, embeddings or vector database, and secret-like patterns are redacted before anything is written to disk. Other features are an ergonomics coach that prompts timed breaks with animated exercises, and a GitHub repo watcher that polls for commits, pull requests, reviews, releases, CI runs and deploy status. Clicking the pet opens a dashboard. The README notes the ergonomics guidance is not medical advice. It installs with scripts for macOS, Linux and Windows and needs Python 3.10 or newer, and a pre-built macOS app is also offered. The project is MIT licensed and made by Byteflow.bot.
