What it does

Clipdrop is a set of AI image tools. It includes text to image, background removal and replacement, Cleanup for removing objects, people, text and defects, Uncrop, an image upscaler (2x or 4x, with noise removal), Relight, a text remover and a universal resizer for social media formats. You upload an image on the relevant tool page and download the result. The FAQ says background removal results can be downloaded in HD for free, describes Cleanup as free, and says the terms do not limit commercial use of images generated on Clipdrop. For developers, the Jasper API is presented as a way to embed image models in a product, and the FAQ mentions a Clipdrop background removal API. The company behind Clipdrop, InitML, was acquired by Stability in February 2023 and later sold to Jasper.ai in February 2024.
