What it does
Codex Fixes is a community project that gathers workarounds for bugs in OpenAI's Codex. Its command-line tool is run with npx and is meant to be used after every Codex update: it runs local diagnostics and applies fixes taken from a shared registry of issue manifests and fix scripts. A companion website lists the active issues, documents each fix and shows how to contribute. The project invites people to file bug reports, share workarounds, test them on other platforms, and say when OpenAI has fixed a problem. The repository is a monorepo written only in TypeScript and is MIT licensed. It asks for Node.js 22 or newer and npm 10 or newer.
