What it does
CustomPod pulls from the sources and topics you select and condenses them into short audio episodes. The FAQ names RSS feeds, news websites, personal blogs and Reddit as sources, plus personal ones such as Gmail, Slack and local weather, and a banner says you can now add your own articles. You can customize topics, sources, update frequency, briefing length and delivery time, and generate a new briefing whenever you want. Length depends on how many sources you include, and the site says there is no limit on topics or sources. Episodes can be added to your usual podcast app. It is available as iOS and Android apps and through a web platform. The free plan includes unlimited episodes, unlimited briefing sections and all supported sources. Pro adds unlimited generations of briefings, automatic generation, premium voices and notifications for new briefings.
