D-ID

A platform for making avatar videos from scripts or documents and for building real-time talking visual agents, offered through a self-service studio and an API.

Avatars & presentersVideo generation

What it does

D-ID builds talking digital humans for two uses: recorded video and live conversation. Its Video Studio turns scripts, briefs, decks or documents into avatar videos in many languages. Its Visual AI Agents are real-time conversational avatars that can be embedded, answer in several languages, carry out tasks and trigger workflows. Avatars can be built from images or video, with voice cloning and multilingual output. In the self-service studio you can pick a ready-made avatar, upload a face image, or generate a portrait from a text prompt. The site says video creation and real-time interaction work in 120+ languages, and that voice, backgrounds, layouts and media can be adjusted to match a brand. Developers get an API for offline videos and for real-time streaming animation; using it requires credits in the account. The site also lists integrations with Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva and Google Slides. From the FAQ: videos are made as MP4 and are limited to five minutes, uploaded images can be up to 10 MB in JPEG, JPG or PNG, and standard presenters output up to 1280x1280 pixels. Premium presenters reach 1080p on the Trial, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise plans but are not supported on Lite.
