Docs & workspaces

What it does

DiagramGPT is Eraser's AI diagram generator. You describe a diagram in a text prompt and it produces a finished diagram within seconds. Five diagram types are offered at the moment, according to the page: flow charts, entity relationship, cloud architecture, sequence and BPMN. It was built by the Eraser team using OpenAI's models. Generated diagrams can be opened in Eraser through Save and Edit Diagram, where they are editable in Eraser's diagram-as-code syntax. The site calls Eraser a documentation and diagramming tool for engineering teams, and it links to many topic-specific generators, such as architecture, network, sequence and ERD generators. Eraser also has an API, limited to teams on Starter, Business or Enterprise plans, and an MCP server that lets agents in tools such as Claude, Cursor, VS Code and ChatGPT make, look up, edit and export diagrams. The MCP server is free to use, within your plan's AI credit allowance. The page lists no prices; it links to Eraser's pricing page and an enterprise demo.
