What it does
Dyad is a desktop app for building web apps from a description of what you want. You pick the AI model, such as ones from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google or local models through Ollama and LM Studio, and bring your own API keys. The project stays on your machine as ordinary code that you can edit in VS Code, import from an existing repository or export. The app connects to Supabase or Neon for a database and sign-in, runs a built-in security scan, and can deploy to GitHub and Vercel. MCP servers can be added for extra tools such as browser DevTools and web search. Dyad describes itself as local first. It can work offline with local models, places no limit on the number of projects, and its code is open source on GitHub.
