What it does
Elicit is built for researchers who want to understand what science already knows. A researcher enters a research question, Elicit searches academic papers and generates a structured report with citations. Reports can be customised by changing which papers and what information they cover. For systematic literature reviews, Elicit can automate screening and data extraction and partially supports search and report generation. The site says it now supports PRISMA 2020. A Library stores sources for reuse, and Alerts follow new research. The page also lists a Research Agent, and an API and MCP server for bringing Elicit into other agents and workflows. Elicit says it can find up to 1,000 relevant papers and analyse up to 20,000 data points at once, supports its claims with sentence-level citations, and goes beyond chat with interactive tables and multi-step workflows. Its pages are organised around pharma, academia, medical devices, policy and other industries.
