What it does
Gemini CLI brings AI into the terminal. The site says you can query and edit large codebases, generate apps from images or PDFs, and automate complex workflows, all from the command line with Gemini 3. It has documentation, a command reference, an extensions area with a page to browse them, and a changelog. A notice at the top of the site says that for unpaid-tier and Google One users, Gemini CLI was replaced by Antigravity CLI on June 18th, 2026, and links to a blog post about the transition. It adds that Gemini CLI has not been optimized for Gemini 4 Argon and that Antigravity should be used for that model. Check the notice before choosing it.
