What it does

Git AutoReview is an extension for VS Code that runs AI reviews of pull requests on GitHub (Cloud and Enterprise), GitLab (Cloud and Self-Managed) and Bitbucket (Cloud, Server and Data Center). It can also be installed from Open VSX for VS Code forks such as Cursor, VSCodium and Devin Desktop. Every AI comment is a draft. You approve, reject or edit each one before anything is published to your Git platform. You can pick Claude, Gemini or GPT models, or run several in parallel and let similar findings be merged. The site says every plan uses your own API key, so code goes from VS Code straight to the provider and is not stored by the vendor. Beyond the basic review, the site lists a Deep Review agent mode that reads files, runs the linter and checks tests, security scanning with built-in rules plus an AI pass, confidence scores on findings, quality scores, Jira acceptance-criteria checks, named review profiles, and a config file in the repo root for team-wide review rules.
