What it does

Glide describes itself as a business operations platform. You drop in the spreadsheets your team already runs on and say what you need. Its agent reads the sheets, including formulas, lookups and notes, and builds a working app for desktop and phone. You can click a number to see in plain English how it was calculated, and apps are private to your company by default until you share them. The site says agents such as Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT can connect to Glide over MCP and build into the same apps, data and permissions as Glide's own agent. An Ask feature answers questions about the business from live data. Changing a record updates every connected app, and employees, managers, customers and partners can each be given their own view. You can start from ready-made apps in an App Store or from templates, and connect spreadsheets, databases and everyday business tools. For governance the site lists single sign-on, roles down to the row, AI spend budgets by team and model, an approved-models list with a statement that data never trains them, an audit log, and CCPA, SOC 2, GDPR and AES 256 badges. A Glide for iPhone app is marked as coming soon.
