What it does

GradGPT is a set of AI tools for people applying to colleges. The core tool is an essay reviewer: you paste a draft and get a score with feedback on areas such as authenticity, structure and the opening, along with the exact lines to fix. Other tools include a chances calculator that sorts colleges into ambitious, moderate or safe for your profile, an AI counsellor for questions on applications, financial aid and admission requirements, a library of past student results, mental-health resources and realistic AP practice questions. The site says the tool never writes essay text. It offers suggestions and asks questions the way a mentor would, and it points to a published AI policy. It also says the scoring rubrics come from former admissions officers. Guided flows help when you are stuck: answer a few questions to get topic ideas with an outline, or have the tool pick out the strongest first line already in your draft. The site also offers supplemental essay guides and Common App examples graded line by line.
