What it does

Harness presents itself as an autonomous software delivery platform. Its AI agents cover several stages of the software lifecycle: getting changes from commit to production, finding security weaknesses, protecting running systems, and keeping track of spend. The Software Delivery Agent handles deployments, builds, artifacts, infrastructure, databases and code review. The Security Testing Agent adds AI-assisted static analysis, software composition analysis and supply chain checks. The Runtime Protection Agent looks at API posture, AI posture and an AI firewall, and the Cost Management Agent traces AI and cloud costs. A newer Cosmos Software Factory Agent aims to take work from ticket to code. You choose how much the agents may do for each workflow, from running only approved steps, to acting with human sign-off, to acting autonomously within policy. Guardrails are written as policy-as-code, every AI decision is logged, and permissions follow your organisation's roles. The page lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, DORA and NIS2. The page invites you to try the full platform for free with no credit card, and links to a separate pricing page.

Capabilities

When to use it

  • You run delivery pipelines and want AI agents to build, test and deploy under approval rules
  • You need to see AI and cloud spend broken down by team
  • You want policy, audit and sign-off controls around what AI is allowed to do in your pipelines
  • You want code, dependencies and APIs checked for security issues as part of delivery
