What it does
Harness Desktop installs the DeepSeek Harness workbench as a desktop app. It is maintained by the community, is not an official DeepSeek app, and does not carry DeepSeek's endorsement. The sessions, workspaces, permissions and agent features come from the official Harness, and the desktop shell adds its own extras around them. The stable download is for Windows, as an installer or a portable build. A macOS disk image and a signed Android app are offered as public previews. You add a provider and model in the Harness settings, pick a workspace and start a session. Main-model and subagent routing lets a subagent follow the main model or use a different one. Extras include a plugin and skills marketplace, a desktop pet, colour themes, an integrated terminal, MCP connections, a file and preview panel, and scheduled tasks you can watch. Phones pair by QR code, preferring the local network and falling back to an encrypted relay you can host yourself. Updates come as signed manifests with checksum checks, and user plugins, themes and model routes are kept when Harness is updated. The shell code is under the MIT licence. The page is mainly in Chinese, with a short English section near the end.
