What it does
Hexabot is a self-hostable platform for building AI agents, agent-driven workflows and business automation. You install its CLI with npm, create a project from a starter template and start the local stack with a dev command. Workflows can be triggered from chat, forms, schedules or events, and they can reach out to models, tools, APIs and internal systems. Workflows can be modelled visually as a graph or written as portable YAML with typed contracts and schema validation, which makes them easy to keep under version control. The site lists managed memory, retrieval for added context and hooks for MCP tools, plus conditionals, loops, an inbox and live handoff to a person when automation needs human judgment. Assistants can run across web, messaging and social channels, and developers can add custom channels, actions and extensions. The code for version 3 is source-available, licensed under the Fair Core License 1.0 with an ALv2 future license, so the code can be read, self-hosted and extended while data stays on infrastructure you run. Paid plans are license keys that raise the limits on users, workflows and activations. The site cites Orange as a customer using it for multilingual service automation.
