What it does
Keploy takes the traffic an application really receives and converts it into tests plus sandboxed stand-ins for the app's dependencies, so each change can be verified before it is merged or deployed. The site presents it as verification for AI-written code, usable by developers and by coding agents. It watches requests coming in and calls going out to dependencies using eBPF and network-level interception, and says no application code changes are needed. The captured behavior becomes editable tests and mocks standing in for databases, message queues, caches and third-party APIs, which are replayed against new builds locally or in CI/CD to catch regressions in responses, schemas, contracts and performance. Keploy can also generate extra edge cases and connected flows from API schemas and application context. The site says its local record-and-replay core is released as open source under Apache 2.0, and lists enterprise capabilities that include recording in Kubernetes and other environments, governance and security controls, dashboards and support.
Capabilities
- Records live traffic and converts it into editable tests and mocks
- Replays tests locally or in CI/CD against new builds
- AI-generated tests from API schemas and application context
- Mocks for databases, message queues, caches and third-party APIs
- Lets coding agents check their changes against recorded behavior
When to use it
- You want regression tests built from real traffic instead of hand-written mocks
- You use coding agents and want their changes checked against recorded behavior
- You test services that depend on databases, queues or external APIs
- You want the same tests to run on a laptop and in CI
