What it does

LALAL.AI started as a vocal remover and now offers a set of audio tools. You upload an audio or video file, it separates the sound into stems, you preview the result, and then you download the versions you need. Stem types named on the site include vocals and instrumental, drums, bass, electric and acoustic guitar, piano, synthesizer, strings, wind instruments, and voice with noise removed. Other products on the site are a voice cleaner for background music and noise, a voice changer, a voice cloner built from your own recordings, an echo and reverb remover, and a splitter that separates lead and backing vocals. Input formats include MP3, WAV, FLAC, MP4 and MOV among others; output formats for audio include MP3, OGG, AAC, WAV and FLAC. It runs in the browser and also ships as desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux, iOS and Android apps, VST plugins for use inside a DAW, and an API. Processing is billed in minutes, calculated as the file length multiplied by the number of stem types selected.
