What it does
lucinate is a text-based chat client that runs in your terminal. You save connections to an OpenClaw gateway, a Hermes Agent profile or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, pick an agent, and chat with streaming responses and rendered markdown. It is designed to work without a mouse, though the mouse is supported for scrolling and copying. Beyond plain chat it shows tool call cards for what an agent is running, runs shell commands locally with ! or on the gateway with !!, lets you browse and restore sessions, and loads local agent skills as slash commands. Routines let you save a multi-step prompt sequence and replay it, and OpenClaw users can also manage scheduled cron jobs from the terminal. There are non-interactive commands too: lucinate send prints a single reply to standard output for scripts, and lucinate chat opens the interface already pointed at a chosen agent. It is licensed under Apache 2.0 and installs with Homebrew, an install script or go install.
