What it does
Meticulous is a frontend testing service that builds its tests from recorded usage instead of hand-written scripts. You add a recorder script tag to local development, staging and preview environments, and it captures sessions as people interact with the app. Recording production sessions is optional, for extra coverage. Its AI engine tracks which code branches each recorded interaction executes and uses that to assemble visual end-to-end tests aimed at covering every line of the codebase. The tests update themselves: new ones appear as features and edge cases are introduced, and outdated ones are dropped. When you open a pull request, you see the impact of the change across user workflows before merging. By default, tests replay the recorded backend responses, so they have no side effects and need no special test accounts or mock data. The site says it modifies Chromium itself and adds a deterministic scheduler to remove flaky results, and that tests run in parallel on a compute cluster, covering thousands of screens in under 120 seconds. It can complement an existing test suite or replace it. Setup snippets are shown for Next.js, React, Vue, Angular, Nuxt and SvelteKit, and the site mentions installing an integration for your CI. Pricing is not shown; visitors can get started or book a demo.

- Session recording through a script tag in development, staging and preview environments, with optional production recording
- AI-curated visual end-to-end tests guided by code-branch coverage
- Tests are added and removed automatically as the app changes
- Recorded backend responses are replayed, so no test accounts or mock data are needed
- Pull request view of the impact on user workflows before merge
- Parallel execution across a compute cluster
When to use it
- You want regression coverage for a frontend without writing or maintaining tests by hand
- You want to see how a pull request changes user flows before merging
- You want generated tests alongside an existing suite, or in place of it
