Mira

Open-source workbench for mobile runtime detection research on Android and iOS, with a Relay and an MCP server so AI clients can work in the same live device sessions.

What it does

Mira is a mobile runtime detection workbench for iOS and Android. A host app on the device gives access to a shell, PTY, screen capture and file tools inside the app's own sandbox, and a Relay server connects devices to a browser workbench on a desktop. Frida tasks run Java and native hooks with RPC for one-off runtime analysis. An MCP server lets an AI client work in the same live sessions as the person at the keyboard, and the project shows an example of asking Claude to explore a live terminal for jailbreak-related traces. The repository also publishes research notes and cases on detecting root, emulators and screen projection. The project states clear limits. Mira only observes and interacts with its own host app sandbox, does not control unrelated third-party apps, offers no system-wide remote control or root and jailbreak bypass, and is not a production SDK. The Android runtime needs arm64-v8a and supports Android 10 through 15, and the iOS side is verified on a real device running iOS 16.7.10. It is released under GPL-3.0.

Capabilities

  • Shell, PTY, screen capture and file tools inside the host app sandbox
  • Frida tasks for Java and native hooks
  • Relay server with a browser workbench
  • MCP server so AI clients share the same device sessions
  • Published research cases on root, emulator and screen-projection detection

When to use it

  • You research runtime detection on Android or iOS devices
  • You use Frida and want an AI client to work in the same session
  • You need to hand a live device session to a reviewer through a temporary public relay
