What it does

Mirafold is a browser interface for coding agents you already run, including Claude Agent, Codex, OpenCode and Gemini CLI. Each agent keeps running on your own machine with its own engine, credentials and permission model, with one adapter per agent rather than a replacement agent in between. The project is in public beta and its code is released under the MIT license. On top of the agent's output it shows streamed markdown and interactive components such as tables, charts, diffs, task lists and diagrams, generated through Model Context Protocol tools. Sessions persist, several browser views can attach to one session, and a mission-control page and an in-session cockpit let you supervise and switch between running sessions. Read-only file browsing and Git change review sit beside the conversation, and a real pseudo-terminal handles commands prefixed with !. Mirafold needs Node.js 22 or newer. You install it globally with npm and run the mirafold command, which starts a local server on loopback and opens the browser. If no usable agent backend is found, it falls back to a scripted demo. Remote browser and phone access goes through an end-to-end-encrypted relay and needs a Mirafold Pro license key. The page warns that Mirafold drives a real agent with access to your filesystem and shell, so permission prompts should be reviewed.
