Notte

Browser infrastructure for AI agents and web automation: hosted stealth browsers, a local Playwright-based browser, a CLI, an MCP server and deployable Python functions.

What it does

Notte gives AI agents and scripts a browser to work with. It offers hosted cloud browser sessions with stealth features, CAPTCHA solving and proxies, or a local browser behind the same interface. A session can observe the actions available on a page, execute them, and scrape the result as clean markdown or structured data. Starting points include a CLI for driving browsers from terminals, scripts or CI, an MCP server that gives a coding agent a cloud browser, stealth sessions reachable over CDP from Playwright, Puppeteer or Selenium, and functions that deploy a Python automation to run on demand, on a schedule or behind an API endpoint. An Anything API turns a described task into a deployed API. Other hosted pieces are secrets vaults, so that code and the models writing it only see placeholders, and digital personas with their own email address, phone number and automated two-factor handling. Python and Node SDKs are provided. The README notes that the older agent loop, workflows and local function execution were removed in version 1.10, and that coding agents now drive Notte through the CLI, the MCP server or the SDK. The code is under the Server Side Public License v1.

  • Local browser sessions that need no API key
  • CLI and MCP server for coding agents
  • Functions that run Python automations on demand or on a schedule
  • Vaults and digital personas for credentials and identities
  • Scraping to markdown or structured Pydantic models

When to use it

  • You want to give a coding agent a cloud browser
  • You want to run Playwright, Puppeteer or Selenium scripts on hosted stealth browsers
  • You need to turn web pages into markdown or structured data
  • You want to deploy a browser automation as a scheduled job or an API
