What it does

octomux is a local dashboard and command-line tool that runs several coding agents at the same time. Each task gets its own git worktree and branch, and you choose Claude Code or Cursor as the agent and pick the model per task. The README says it runs on your machine with no cloud service or telemetry. A single inbox collects every tool-permission prompt from the running agents, and a monitor grid shows each agent's live terminal. Tasks can start from a typed description or from Jira, Linear or GitHub links. Loops let an agent retry in fresh context until a verification command passes, and schedules run tasks on a cron. For review, an agent writes a walkthrough and line comments tied to the actual diff. You read them in the app and publish them as one batched GitHub review once you accept. An orchestrator view shows a parent agent splitting work into child tasks, and the project offers a REST API, WebSocket channels and a plugin system for extending it.
