What it does
oh-my-pi, run as omp, is a coding agent that works in the terminal. It is built by Stencil Labs as a fork of Pi by Mario Zechner, and adds language-server and debugger integration, persistent Python and Bun code execution, and a set of built-in tools for reading, searching and editing code. It can send work to subagents in isolated worktrees, run a second model as an advisor that comments on each turn, review code with ranked findings, split changes into atomic commits, drive a browser and control the desktop. Some of these tools are off by default and are switched on through settings. You choose models by role and can mix providers: frontier APIs, coding-plan subscriptions, local servers such as Ollama, LM Studio, llama.cpp and vLLM, and custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints. It installs through a shell script, Homebrew, Bun, Nix or PowerShell.
Capabilities
- Language server and debugger integration for renames, navigation and stepping through code
- Persistent Python and Bun cells that can call the agent's own tools
- Subagents in isolated worktrees that return schema-checked results
- Optional advisor model that reviews each turn
- More than sixty model providers, with role-based model choice and fallback chains
- Built-in code review, atomic commit splitting, web search, browser and desktop control
When to use it
- You prefer a coding agent in the terminal over an editor plugin
- You want to mix several model providers or subscriptions in one agent
- You want the agent to use a debugger and language servers while it edits
- You want the same agent available inside Zed
