TranslationBrowser assistants

What it does

The project began as a Chrome extension for translating highlighted text with the ChatGPT API and has grown into a cross-platform desktop app. After a trademark warning from OpenAI it was renamed NextAI Translator. It works in three modes, translation, polishing and summarization, across 55 languages, and streams results as they are generated. Other features include one-click copying, text-to-speech, screenshot translation, and a vocabulary book that can generate memory aids for the saved words. You bring your own access. The app connects to OpenAI, Azure OpenAI Service, MiniMax, TeamoRouter and other LLM providers using an API key you enter in its settings. The code is released under AGPL-3.0.
