What it does
Otter is an AI meeting assistant that captures conversations and turns them into written records. It can join Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet calls through your calendar, or record without a bot from the Mac or Windows desktop app, a Chrome extension or your phone. Each conversation gets a live transcript in several languages with speaker recognition, followed by a summary that lists decisions, action items and key points. Recordings can be grouped into shared channels by team, project or topic so colleagues can find them in one place. Otter AI Chat answers questions across your past meetings and connected apps, and can help draft follow-ups and reports. Before a call it can prepare a briefing from earlier discussions, and during a call it can offer prompts based on your history and company playbooks. Separate agents for sales, recruiting and SDR work extend this to lead qualification, live demos and candidate notes. Otter connects to tools such as Slack, Salesforce, HubSpot, Jira, Notion, Asana and Google Drive to push notes and tasks where your team already works. An MCP server lets AI chat tools such as ChatGPT and Claude read your meeting knowledge.
