What it does
Palmier Pro is a video editor written in Swift for Macs with Apple Silicon, and it needs macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later. Its makers say Premiere Pro is the model they are working towards, with their own approach to bringing AI into the editing workflow. Image and video generation happens inside the timeline editor. The site names models such as Seedance, Kling and Nano Banana Pro for generating clips and images. While the app is open it runs an MCP server on a local address, so agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor can create and edit directly on the timeline. Claude Desktop users get a bundled one-click extension, and an in-app agent can work on the same project. Licensing is mixed. Releases up to v0.7.6 and the matching source were published under GPLv3, while later releases are proprietary and their source is not published. The repository no longer accepts code contributions.
