What it does

PhotoDirector 365 is a desktop photo editor from CyberLink that brings organising, RAW development, layer-based compositing, portrait retouching and generative AI into one app. The site describes the RAW adjustments as non-destructive and says the software can edit offline. AI features include editing by chat, where you describe an edit in plain language, and Quick Actions that suggest fixes such as enhancement or background blur. Generative tools create images, turn photos into video, replace objects from text prompts, swap up to four faces, transfer motion from a video onto a character, and offer an AI try-on. An AI Model Lab lets you pick from several third-party image and video models. Cleanup and enhancement tools cover deblurring, noise reduction, upscaling, colour correction, and removing people, objects, backgrounds and power lines. An AI PC mode lets supported features run on the computer's GPU and NPU without credits, while video and the heaviest image models are handled in the cloud and spend credits. A free Essential version has no time limit. Paid access comes as a PhotoDirector 365 subscription or a one-time PhotoDirector 2027 purchase.
