What it does
Product Manager Skills is a skill for AI coding tools. Once installed, it lets Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Windsurf critique PRDs, diagnose SaaS metrics, plan roadmaps, run product discovery and coach product managers through career moves. The knowledge, templates and routing logic are plain Markdown that you can read line by line: 7 knowledge modules, 12 templates and 8 worked examples. The repo also ships two small shell scripts for manual maintenance. The domains are discovery and research, strategy and positioning, artifacts such as PRDs and user stories, finance and metrics (32 SaaS metrics), growth and product-led growth, career and leadership, and AI product craft. A coaching mode pushes back on weak framing, and a PM sprint workflow runs six phases from discovery to measurement. Install with clawhub for Claude Code and OpenClaw, or with npx skills for Codex, Cursor, Windsurf and other GitHub-based loaders. It can also be uploaded to Claude Projects. The README says its helper scripts are optional, are not run automatically, and collect no telemetry. The README says it is not meant for teams that want a collaborative web app with approvals and comments, or for non-technical buyers who want turnkey onboarding. It is published under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence.
