What it does
prompt-to-asset is an MCP server and command-line tool for producing software assets: logos, app icons, favicons, Open Graph images, illustrations, splash screens and hero art. You describe what you want to your AI assistant (the page names Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex and Gemini CLI) or run the CLI, and it classifies the brief, rewrites the prompt and picks a route. It works in three modes: the host model writes SVG inline, the tool hands you a prompt to paste into any web image tool and then ingests the result, or the server calls an image provider directly. Free routes such as Cloudflare Workers AI, NVIDIA NIM, Hugging Face Inference, Stable Horde and Pollinations are tried first, with paid providers like OpenAI, Ideogram, Recraft and Gemini as optional fallbacks. Afterwards it can remove backgrounds, vectorize images and export one master image into iOS, Android, PWA, favicon, visionOS and Flutter icon sets offline, then run checks on dimensions, transparency, contrast and palette drift. It needs Node 20.11 or newer, runs on macOS, Linux and Windows (WSL2 for some native dependency installs), and is released under the MIT license.
