What it does
Raycast AI is the AI part of the Raycast app. It gives access to models from several providers through one interface, and its agents work with the tools you already use. The site gives examples such as fixing a bug from Linear, cleaning up an inbox, organizing the Desktop and planning a trip. You can create custom agents with their own instructions and models, give them projects with dedicated instructions and memory, and let them use what is on your screen as context. Automations run agents on a schedule for recurring tasks. Quick AI handles small questions anywhere, AI Commands turn go-to prompts into keyboard shortcuts, and AI Extensions connect other tools, including ones from the Raycast Store or ones you build yourself. Existing Claude or ChatGPT subscriptions, or your own OpenAI, Anthropic and Google API keys, can be used without spending AI Credits, and local models are supported through Ollama. The site says data is stored locally, that AI chats are saved on its servers only if Cloud Sync is enabled, and that its agreements with AI providers prohibit training on your interactions.
