Rayyan

Platform for running systematic and literature reviews as a team, from importing references and removing duplicates through screening, data extraction and risk-of-bias assessment.

Academic papersResearch assistants

What it does

Rayyan lays out a systematic review as one workflow: import and organize references, invite collaborators with roles, remove duplicates, screen titles and abstracts, screen full texts, extract data, assess risk of bias and prepare reports, including a PRISMA flow diagram. Every decision is recorded so a review can be traced and reproduced. AI features sit alongside the manual tools. ResearchPilot offers zero-shot relevance ratings, an AI Analyzer, an AI Reviewer and automatic data extraction, and the site also advertises AI-assisted prioritization for screening. The Systematic Auto-Resolver removes duplicates across up to 200,000 references using your own protocol. Teams can sample records into randomized subsets to divide the workload, structure evaluation around the PICO framework, use keyboard hot keys, and screen on a mobile app that also works offline. An API is available for extending Rayyan beyond the interface. The site says it is used by over a million researchers at more than 30,000 institutions, and it offers an Enterprise route with a sales contact.
