What it does
remio is a desktop application that builds a searchable memory of your work. It gathers files, emails, meetings and the web pages you browse, organises them on your device, and lets you ask questions in chat, with answers that point back to the sources they came from. On top of that context it can produce finished work, including native PowerPoint decks that stay editable, and it handles more than 30 file formats. Meetings can be recorded and transcribed locally without inviting a bot, and existing audio, video or podcast links can be imported. You pick the AI: the site lists 30+ models from several providers, an option to bring your own API key, and support for connecting a local model. A command line interface lets other coding or general-purpose agents pull focused context from the index instead of rereading folders. The desktop app currently supports Windows 10 and later (x64) and Macs with Apple silicon. A mobile app exists, but it needs the desktop app to work.
