Rovo Dev CLI brings Atlassian's Rovo Dev coding agent into the terminal. According to the announcement post, it helps developers understand and navigate a codebase, generate documentation, get code explained, and speed up work with completion, refactoring suggestions, automated testing and interactive debugging. It is built around the Atlassian ecosystem. The agent can work with Jira work items, update Confluence pages and use Bitbucket, and it can connect other MCP servers to add tools such as web research. The post also describes a memory system that keeps project knowledge in memory files and lets teams adjust the agent's personality, plus step-by-step help with larger code migrations. For organisations it describes permission controls, role-based user access, usage monitoring and cost management. The post, dated November 2025, reports that Rovo Dev CLI reached 41.98% on the full SWE-bench set (2,294 tasks) and ranked first on that leaderboard at the time.
