What it does
Softr is an AI app builder for business operations. You describe the portal or internal tool you need and its AI Co-Builder creates the interface, database, user roles and business logic. The result stays editable through visual controls, and you can also start from a template or build by hand. Apps run on a built-in database or connect to external sources. Airtable, Notion, Google Sheets, Coda and a REST API connector are available on every plan, with more connectors on higher plans. Workflows can start from a button click, form submission, schedule or record change, and AI agents can use OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini models. An MCP option lets your own AI agent build internal tools. User groups and data restrictions control which pages, blocks and records each person sees, and you can preview the app as any user before publishing. Softr states it is SOC 2 Type II compliant and hosts user data in Germany. Typical builds are client portals, CRMs, intranets, inventory trackers and dashboards.
