What it does
Spacelift is a platform for running infrastructure-as-code pipelines. It supports Terraform, OpenTofu, CloudFormation, Pulumi and Kubernetes, and models environments as stacks with dependencies instead of one giant pipeline. Ansible and other configuration tools can run in the same workflow after infrastructure changes. Platform teams set guardrails with OPA-based policies for plans, approvals and notifications, and delegate access with Spaces, Contexts and role-based access control. The site also highlights a native resource view, drift detection and audit trails for every run and change. AI appears in two places. An infrastructure assistant lets people view resources, detect drift and make changes by chat, and policies can be defined in natural language. Teams can request and manage their own infrastructure through that assistant or an MCP server, or through self-service templates. Spacelift can run as fully managed SaaS, self-hosted in any cloud, on-premises, or as FedRAMP-authorized SaaS.
