What it does
Speechara is an AI assistant for real-time conversations such as work meetings, calls, interviews and lectures. It listens to audio on your computer, so it works beside Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and other desktop calls and does not appear as a participant. During a session it shows live transcription and subtitles, with speech recognition and translation in 88 languages, and can suggest a reply or clarify a question that was just asked. Afterwards it saves a transcript, a structured summary, notes and action items in a searchable history. The site says audio recordings are not stored, saved transcripts and summaries are encrypted with keys tied to your account, history can be deleted at any time, and conversations are not used to train models. It is in beta, offered as a web app and as Mac and Windows downloads, and the app interface comes in 50 languages.
