What it does
Speechify combines text to speech, voice typing and a voice AI assistant. You can upload PDFs, documents, EPUBs, web links or scanned pages and have them read aloud in more than 1,000 voices across 60+ languages, with text highlighting and speed control. Voice Typing dictates into the apps you already use and cleans up grammar, punctuation and filler words. The assistant answers questions about the page or document you are listening to, summarizes it, quizzes you and recaps what you read. Other features include an AI meeting note taker, podcasts generated from a document or short description, and a voice-first document workspace. It is available on web, iOS, Android, Mac and Windows, plus Chrome and Edge extensions. The FAQ also mentions voice cloning with the speaker's permission and a text-to-speech API, and says Premium users can listen offline.
