Vibe-Coding Prompt Template

An MIT-licensed set of prompts and a step-by-step workflow that takes an app idea through research, a product requirements doc and a tech design to project files your AI coding assistant can follow.

What it does

This GitHub repository is a planning workflow for people who build apps with AI coding assistants. It provides four long, self-contained prompts that you copy into a chat tool such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, answering the questions each one asks and saving the results as documents in your app folder. The steps run in order: research the idea, define the MVP in a product requirements document, choose a technical approach in a tech design, then generate the instruction files a coding assistant reads, including AGENTS.md, MEMORY.md and a review checklist. After that you open the folder in your coding assistant and build one small feature at a time, starting from a plan you approve. An optional CLI, run with npx vibeworkflow, and bundled skills are there for people who prefer to work inside a coding assistant. The CLI scaffolds from saved project documents, previews changes, checks setup and keeps existing files by default. A short Reading List example shows what the finished documents look like.
