What it does
WebChatGPT is a Chrome extension that gives ChatGPT conversations access to current web information. It pulls results from a web search into your prompt, and it can also take the text of a page from any URL you give it, so you control what ends up in the prompt. It includes a library of hundreds of ready-made prompts for areas such as marketing, sales, copywriting, operations, productivity and customer support, and you can save your own prompt templates for tasks you repeat. A separate search feature shows AI answers next to your search results, powered by ChatGPT, Claude, Bard or Bing AI. The listing says there is no backend server and that web requests are handled locally in the browser, which is why the extension asks for access to all websites. The developer states that it does not collect or use your data.
